On the 5^th of March 2022, the Open Range powered VenYou Solar solutions was launched at the Salama Park warehouse in Lusaka.

Venyou Zambia specialises in supply and installation of small, medium, and large-scale solar back-up and hybrid systems. These solutions will enable our local people to buy solar panels, batteries, inverters Solar Energy, power-back-up systems, and power protection equipment from their doorsteps without having the trouble of ordering the equipment outside Zambia.

Customers in Zambia shall benefit from client staff Training, Logistics & materials handling, Specialised container solutions from 2.4KW to 120KW “Plug & Play” systems including Solar Supply chain management solutions.

And officiating the launch, CIDRZ Board Member Mr Charles Mpundu said recently the government of the Republic of Zambia has been actively seeking ways of improving conditions for private investment for power solutions projects especially after facing a serious electricity supply deficit in the recent past.

“This is what prompted the proposals in the Zambia Renewable Energy financing framework to support efforts that supplement private investment in renewable energy sector to accelerate electricity generation targets and diversification of the energy mix to reduce the country’s reliance on hydro power which gets to be heavily impacted by climate change.” said Mr Mpundu.
